Looks like a puncher wound rather than a cut tbh if do don’t know what your doing it’s better to go to the vets to flush it out least they can make sure there no shit still in there an give you some antibiotics to stop infection

Like been said you can flush it out with salt water but like poxon says if you don't  no what you doing it's better off going vets ,of course that will cost but I'd rather put me hand in me pocket and no me dog looked after as wounds can soon turn gammy 

How's it happen ? Looks quite deep in that pic and like been said a puncture wound .

If your gonna be working the dog you need to be able to do the basics.
