FOXHUNTER 5,021
Well eventually got round to mounting the Hawke scope on my .22 today ready to zero at weekend. Bloody bolt catches the mag ring on the scope so looks like need to buy higher mounts or shave a bit of the bolt .....what you reckon ? Quote Link to post
Sausagedog 7,381
To be honest I never get low mounts and never understood the popularity of the notion that low is best! I think the term cheek weld has given the wrong impression. I shoot best with my head and neck up. It's a shame it's ruger mounts too. How much are they? 1 Quote Link to post

Baldcoot 2,352
My weaver high mounts for my Leupold were 79 quid 2 years ago .Decent mounts are priced to take your pants down tbh. Once the cnc prog is written the machine can churn out thousands. Personally I'd get higher mounts rather than have the bolt machined. 2 Quote Link to post

I use to visit the factory that machined Daystate air rifle parts. The operator of the cnc machines had a hard time staying awake! A lot of this stuff is priced as though someone has spent half a day making them one at a time 1 Quote Link to post
