Gypsydog94 4,593
What’s the least amount of hounds people have hunted with? I know less hounds can’t draw cover so we’ll etc but for a small gun pack what sort of number do people use? Obviously depends on the sort of country you have to hunt. Quote Link to post
Dig-deep-draw-charlie 2,713
I have hunted with 1 hound and hunted with 15 plus! Depends what ur doing, when we run them to lurchers 3 or 4 is enough Quote Link to post
stevemac 434
One fox hound from the Perth hunt in WA he was a trialling power and many fox and feral pigs meet their dimise over him. Quote Link to post
spindolero 1,111
depends on the country you are hunting. if it's lots of thick cover and big forestry blocks, it will be tough for a handful of hounds to pressure the quarry enough to get up and go. but if it's open ground with little rush beds and small woods a small pack should do OK 1 Quote Link to post
