I think you mean a 3 quarter grey a quarter Wheaton what' height is the half cross and how do you find there temperament

I liked my wheaten xs to have nothing else in the mix as well, same for bull xs, I'm not knocking anyone else's dogs because I've seen a few outstanding animals with both in them it was just my preference.

Here's a few wheatan types owned by mates in the U.K. and Ireland.

Two first crosses and their litter;

Two line bred Wheatan/greys;

Two litter sisters,  Deerhound x Wheatan/Grey;

Does it really matter ? Unless you’re using the dog in a breeding it means f**k all. If I call my bitch a bull x and she has 1/16th collie...... she certainly isn’t a collie x

Yep. That is very true. But my point is, some folk can get rather worked up about stuff that doesn’t really effect anything much at all.

Not a good idea to strip a dog of its coat in the summer pal, it actually has the opposite effect of what you’re trying to achieve, in the winter the coat helps keep the warmth in and in the summer it helps keep the heat out so keeps the dogs core temperature cooler, which as you will know is more important for running dogs because of their lack of bodily fat, can’t make better than what nature has put there, atb
