Master addressing the supporters; Must have been around 100 mounted followers; Got to say, it's a very uneven pack; Even the odd Welsh hound; Nancy the deer/grey pup and the hounds getting to know each other; Cheers. Modern old English and welsh by the looks of it very mixed. But aslong as they go well who cares 1 Quote Link to post

dytkos 17,801
How many riders Charts? Went to both local on Boxing Day. One started with 27, from the meet, caught up the other pack later and saw 15-20 in the field. Not great turnouts but to be expected ATM. Cheers, D. 1 Quote Link to post

Huge number of mounted followers, I estimated around a hundred, could be wrong but certainly more than usual. They didn't hunt, it was just a meet. Cheers. 2 Quote Link to post

jukel123 8,148
Good to see the hounds. Your present bitch is much stockier than your last Charts....you can see her dam in her. Wonder what would happen if a hundred or so lurcher owners met up with their dogs running free in the middle of a town? I guarantee the police would intervene. One law for them and another for us methinks. Edited January 2, 2022 by jukel123 1 Quote Link to post

I put that down to the dam which is an Irish coursing bitch, whereas the dam to the other one was an English racing bred bitch. The deerhound blood is more or less the same. The hounds are very well behaved, I'm not sure if there would still be 100 lurchers in the car park a minute after they were let loose, though ! Cheers. Quote Link to post
