Guest tuffyncompany
I am from the US and I was curious about all the rabbit hunting with your ferrets. Your rabbits are much larger than our native bunnies. Our rabbits here are very prolific, in one year new kits born in the spring will have their own by the end of fall, it totals out to be 4 litters a year. What I am curious about is why so many rabbits are taken at a time. Here in the states we have a gun season for rabbits but I don't know how long it lasts or when it begins or ends. We see an occasional bunny along the road or in our yard but we don't see that many. Please understand I am not flaming anyone for your rabbiting, just curious. Are there that many rabbits to take when you go out hunting?? My husband got a red fox today. I was a bit upset about it but he said he thought the foxes here have been stalking our cats. We have lost some cats to coyotes but they are more than twice the size of the red foxes. I saw the fox and thought it was really beautiful and felt upset with hubby for getting it. Such a beautiful animal and have my doubts about one being able to take a full-grown cat. Quote Link to post
