SteveieP 0
There you go. I knew we wuz all kicking towards the same set of goalposts. LOL Ive got both the XS20 & XS36-2. The 20 is the breakbarrel modeled on the HW95k & the quality is really quite good. Picked it up from local online retailer who was unloading stock 2 days before the VCR bill came in. LOL Well I thought for £ quid (for the bare gun) it was worth a punt. It also copies the Rekord trigger, which works quite nicely The 36 is a heavyish underlever, not quite such good quality, but worth the £75 quid (new) I paid for it, as a project gun. Gives more than a passing wink to the HW77 with it's sliding breach, but nothing to the quality of the HW. Maybe I got lucky with the 36 cos taking the nozzle off an aerosol can at 20 meters is no problem (well kneeling but not offhand) The info above is not intended for those who already know how to suck eggs, but to show the sport can be pursued either on a budget or at many different levels (btw, I thought you blow eggs, not suck?) I've only kept one gun continuously for the last 34 years & that's my first one, me trusty old BSA Meteor MK4 (& still shootin strait today) You can have it if you like..... when you can pry it from my cold dead hands that is. he he Quote Link to post

hiho 5
Very well said SteveieP, and perhaps I should have explained my post a bit better, I have nothing against Chinese guns in general and I use an XS79 for ratting, it’s very accurate and I like the gun.Up to the VCR bill nonsense I used to do quite a nice trade with the XS78’s and XS79’s. I also sold a few Chinese springers and I always fitted and zeroed the scope as part of the deal, now maybe it was just bad luck but I never managed to get better than 2†groupings at 30yds with any SMK19. Now before anyone jumps down my throat I have to say that I am a very experienced springer shooter and I’m a dedicated springer man too. I can’t knock the 19’s power but I can’t rate the accuracy. Oddly enough the gun everybody slags off, the B2, I never had an accuracy issue with one, and never had a problem with the 20 either. As I said it’s probably a run of bad luck with the 19’s but what I have said is what I experienced. one of my mates has got a B2 custom Carbine and he hunts with it Quote Link to post
