mushroom 13,261
I’m going to weigh in with I had my eldest at 21, I was still studying and had 3 jobs to cover needs. I used to look around at the scum parents in Blackpool (where we lived, studied and worked) and wonder how is it people can live and raise their kids in certain ways. I was on Telly once, fitting blinds in a house on grange park, the theme was the two sisters (15 & 14) had a race to get pregnant! I’ve never smelt a house like it. Fuuckload of puppies met me at the gate, garden overgrown and full of shit, no carpets in the house, bedding that hadn’t been washed in years… fuucking foul! And they’re raising newborns in there and the tv company were paying these twats for their story. I rang my boss straight after the job and said I’m off home for a shower, it was that grimey. I held my baby girl that night and promised her she will never live like that! I don’t come from money, both my parents are disabled, still… I was brought up, not dragged up. 9

However, regarding the 'pond life who can't keep her legs shut', what about the pond life who can't resist emptying their ball beg and have no further input to their offspring......? There exactly the same if not worst .I know if I had a kid I brought them in to this world it's my job to look after them regardless . but birds of a feather and all that

We spend a load of money to mess up a kid just as badly or worse than if left with the parent. Problem is we don't spend a load of money, we scrimp on goverment provision then give the cash to private homes etc who are just in it for a profit. There are over 50 thousand children with protection plans, meaning they are at significant risk of harm, in the UK. We need well run, safe, and education based government owned homes along with a massive increase in Foster care availability. That's gonna cost which means taxes and the government to invest in public facilities rather than private provision. Edited December 20, 2021 by sandymere
chartpolski 24,625
There are plenty of prospective foster applications, but many simply give up because of the bureaucracy and the political correctness. Cheers.

I also think the way we conceptualise children and work with them in this country is fundamentally flawed. Just compare our systems to those in for example Denmark and we are pretty much an embarrassment.

Sadly I,ve been involved in social services from quite a young age my daughter now deals with them on a very regular basis in her professional career and the biggest problem is they drive Citroen Diane’s, wear socks and sandals, eat chick peas and are generally wet lettuce lefties like yourself that don’t have a clue about the people they are meant to protect, they work to targets made up in dreams we’re as life and reality can be a nightmare, they will never up there game until they get people that are not afraid to call a spade a spade and stop working towards left wing ideology, sorry but there is the truth of it social services is a total waste of space and should be scrapped and started again
