Problem is we have no fight in us. How about a petition to make cat owners responsible for their pets....bet we couldn't get 5000 signitures. The animal nuts win because the shout and fight better than us.

mushroom 13,186
How would this law effect people say who live in a foreign country, where it’s legal to have trophies and then decide to move home to Blighty?

If it's on the exclusion list, it will be confiscated and destroyed on entering the country. If you try to bring it in without declaring it, you will be fined, just like Australia and New Zealand do now, I would assume Cheers.

This could end up being another stupid piece of legislation, just like the hunting act ffs
chartpolski 24,165
I'm dead against this ban, but playing Devils advocate, they wouldn't care if they were shedded antlers or not. If the species is on the list, that's it......banned. Reindeer are on the list, but the herds in the Cairngorms are managed and partly financed by the sale of pelts and antler products, so will we see a scenario where you can buy the banned products in the U.K. But can't import them from, say Canada or Finland ? Or will the domestic products be also banned, leading to the paradoxical situation where the UK's reindeer will suffer from a law meant to protect them ? Like most of these badly thought out and implemented laws I can only see confusion. Cheers. Edited December 13, 2021 by chartpolski

I cant envisage me ever wanting to import lion, polar bear, hippo or anything like that, but there's supposed to be 6,000 animals on the list, a lot of them not endangered, including reindeer. When my missus was north of the Arctic circle last year I wanted her to bring a reindeer pelt back, but she didn't. I was hoping to get a couple in the future for the man cave, but looks like the ban may affect me after all ! Cheers.
