villaman 9,983
May be in sub 12 , but at FAC level they are old hat . Nearly had a mfr a few years ago before they went under . Lucky I shot a rapid for a couple of days before I pushed the button. Thank god I did much prefer my HW100 looks like you have jelled with the rapids 1 Quote Link to post
philpot 5,031
I tend to agree that using just one gun be a considerable advantage to successful hunting. There is an old saying, 'beware the shooter with only one gun'. If I stick with the Impact, I get into a flow which seems to work, switch to my rimmy and it just doesn't click with me and apart from close up stuff when I use the Snowpeak P35, I am only using the Wildcat fac at the moment and the results show my comfort with this gun. I really don't think it is the fact that you are sticking with the Rapid and it being better but you have great confidence with that gun which is more to the point. What goes on between our ears makes the difference quite often. Phil 1 Quote Link to post
villaman 9,983
JJM is spot on about using one gun I use the crown more than any of my other guns , including FX impact .25 , .22lr and HMR all FAC and HW 100k sub 12 , although I do use the ultra a lot at night 1 Quote Link to post
Dervburner 2,549
Yerr, ‘tis true. I do most of my shooting with my gat gun. I’m so good with it now and I can put five corks into a three foot circle at four paces.........sometimes 3 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,561
Using a spring piston rifle to a high standard and for a decent length of time and then start using a pcp, normally ends with the pcp giving back a high standard of marksmanship. Never, ever seen it happen the other way round. 2 Quote Link to post
