What I find amazing is that considering some of the truly dark things that happen in our country ...... the thing which had stirred up the populace to question the government, that has riled up all th

I subscribe to the "Ceasars Wife" idiom; If you are in a posistion of power, or able to influence those in power, you must be above suspicion ! If the government are flouting rules and laws

It's ALWAYS been one rule for them, another for the rest of us, that's why they become politicians, and it not just the Tories; remember Kinnocks  MP son travelling hundreds of miles to give his dad a

I cannot understand why people are shocked about this tbh i reckon those Tory MPs in red wall constituency's will be the ones that get the fall out from this imo.

Boris is getting away with murder…..what does that say about the state of the Labour Party because imho they are widely considered a complete non entity.

If the current Tory administration is the best available that’s a pretty damning indictment of what we have allowed our country to become mate isn’t it ?

Both are shite imho and would not vote for non of them only good thing about the Tories is they have managed to get an MP in a constituency around here and has put the labour council under pressure regarding the CSE scandal.

Sad state of affairs that they have created a system where we either vote for the least worst option or vote to keep the worst option out.

I'd probably still vote Conservative because the Labour option is terrifying. That's sad as fck really

Good post.

The recent Labour front bench reshuffle sees committed europhiles like Starmer, Cooper, Lammy, Thornberry, etc, who, if they couldn't actually get us to rejoin the EU, would surrender huge swathes of our independence and sovereignty back to the EU.

As you say, it's a sad state of affairs when the only choice is the least worst choice.

Cheers.

See, I don’t think that way at all lads.

I think you have to vote honestly and that way you can at least say you tried if you get my drift.

Is the Tory party likely to split due to all this or will they just knife the guy in charge ?

The Tory party have form for getting rid of leaders, but I think Boris still has more popularity and voter appeal than any of his challengers.

Id say, barring some major f**k ups, he's safe until after the next election.

There was no split when they got rid of May, and Boris removed the whip from 21 remainers, so I'd say no, they're not likely to split now.

Cheers

I will probably vote for the Reform or Reclaim candidate at the next election unless there is a major shift to the right by the Tories.

Cheers.

One of the Pakis !…..lol, that would be amazing in a perverse kind of way.

I have always maintained within my lifetime the UK will have an pakistani/Indian heritage PM.

There must be a lot of his team that are thinking, fcuk off with your rules and plans for lockdowns, tho, so surely if he making decisions so decisive then his team must be splitting ?

If by his "team" you mean the back bench MP's then yes, there are around 60 of them that will vote against the upcoming lockdown legislation.

If you mean his cabinet, they are bound by "collective responsibility"  and their only recourse if they disagree with him is to resign, but how many would have the honour to do that ?

If you mean his SPAD team, they are mostly young and have their foot on the first rung of the political ladder and are in my mind sycophantic yes men and women who are telling him what he wants to hear and would never resign on principal.

So, in my opinion, the Tory party won't split. But as Chambelain said ; " a week is a long time in politics", so who knows what might happen ?

Cheers.

I always speak to the candidates first. I'd vote Labour if we had the likes of Kate hoey.
