Whispering Whiskey 66 1,103
Had a lovely stroll down the Wirral way. Got off the train at hooton and walked to west Kirby. Roughly about 14 miles don’t quote me on this, and takes about 4 hours average . now for a well deserved cider or 2. DIDO.1 22,851
I always find the wirral Countyside a bit sad. Once it was home to the oldest pack of beagles, the royal rock. It was also hunted by the wirral harriers who later became the wirral foxhounds. Afterwards being added to the Cheshire forest Country. Always two packs hunting 2 days each a week. Now there aren't any as far as I know. "old stanney farm where hounds used to meet, now stands forlornly at the end of a street......" I worked on the old private school at Mostyn house when they made it into houses. Think I shared some photos of the private school Chapel on here somewhere.
Ken's Deputy 4,460
I wasn't going to say anything, Dido. But, the moment I saw that pathway, I envisaged a bench ~ surrounded by bottles, tins and used needles Fukking grim, isn't it, what experience is teaching us?
