Like, okay; I'd like to try it closer to target ~ though I then wonder how they might react to the flash? But, I mean, knowing they're foxes and not expecting, or looking for, anything else? Yeah. I've caught shots of foxes. Film? Three ten second bursts of complete blackness. No idea. Throw in the fact that the cam to pc lead doesn't work either? Looking a pretty low score out of five, in honesty. Day time? Remains to be seen. Buried in a hedge, snapping number plates? Earn itself a star, just for that. I'm trying to think of some possible use around a bird feeder. I think, tomorrow, I'll set it out in day. See what it does. Then, I'll put it much closer to the fox food at night. Bottom line, thus far? If I'd bought it as a trail cam? I'd probably have flown into a psychopathic rage, by now, and put it up against the wall. As it is? I bought it as a cheap, chink piece of shit. To have fun with, trying it out for myself. It's keeping me amused, look. Other one, I'm waiting for, is the one Comanche reckons is the best of his three. I paid £17.00 Christ! At That price, I won't know whether to put it against the wall or On it! Keep it as a memento! Suffice it to say; Regardless of how either of these two work out? I'm Still every bit as much looking forward to grabbing a Third cheapy I have my eye on. Maybe @Greyman would like to tell us more about his own cams? He's handled quite a range, I understand? What say who to a dedicated Trail Cam board??? We could even have stuck threads for each model. Could soon grow into a very useful resource

I got very confused . Trail cam talk bouncing from Pest Control to General section and through my inbox ( Trail cam in your Inbox- very Carry On) . Concerning Ken's conundrums centering upon camera commissioning , card compatibility and cable connections l can't really give technical advice. I think l just whacked batteries and card into my el cheapo Chinese camera, turned it on and waved at it a few times . As the cheapy cam has no playback screen l just popped the card into the PC and pressed things until l could see pictures of a monkey . Not sure l've ever set the calender on it . Not even sure if it even takes videos but when l've used it " In the Field" the still pictures aren't bad . Not helpful really. I'm actually going to set the Little Acorn up in a customer's loft this afternoon . Edited December 9, 2021 by comanche

I used to have some CCTV types £250 each, always sent motion detected footage to my phone, invaluable to know who, when, and where (each cam was named).Cost 20 or 30 quid a month to top up the SIM on each camera.
