How is the law on using shotguns? I understand there are rifle caliber recommendations and a grant for shotgun slugs would be a good reason for piggy but is there any exemption for using large buckshot from a section 2 shotgun?

No piggies round here either , much the shame. Guidance is minimum calibre of .270 and rifled slug in a shotgun but this is just guidance I think and not law. AOLQ covers you to shoot boar also.

Its allowed to use a single barrel shotgun for boar in Sweden it was popular to get a semiauto in the 1990s then pigs were coming to more areas they work well for close shots but they dont always show up close and most times you also hunt roedeer or other animals at the same time and they are forbidden to shoot with shotgun slugs. I have mainly used my .308w and sometimes my combi 12/6,5*55 most hunters use rifles now for all hunting with dogs or at a feeding place.
