Bearfoot 1,477
These guys are specialist I'd say they have terriers that are trained not to go to ground to it takes a speical type of dog to jump out at jeep at 30mph you no and not get run over it is what it is that's not hunting in my book we all have different standards that's pure chavisum . So you’re really telling me that it don’t matter how they caught as long as the lads caught the gear right ? Ive spent my morning picking up dead shit, fixing fences, re hanging gates and putting cattle back where they belong. Deffo hard core dog men. Re getting motors took DC - most ones we seem to find have plates on from a scrapped vehicle etc. Got a burnt out CRV to pull out a field on my way home and all. Expand For an “educated” bloke you are either shite at reading or deliberately misquoting/misinterpreting what people say. So let me give you the essential essence of what was said: DOGS out killing a lot of gear on a regular basis will be the sires of the future. How their owners go about it means f**k all to me, I’m just happy that they will still exist. 5 Quote Link to post

Me, personally, I want to see dogs that are killing a lot of gear but doing it with a bit of style. A lad with dogs that kill a shit load of foxes every year but run three on every fox is a case of dogs killing a lot of gear but that I wouldn’t count as sires for the future. To be fair I just chucked this up as I was getting bored talking about immigrants 2 Quote Link to post

Popular Post chartpolski 23,928
I don't know if it's the way you phrase it, or the way I read it, but you allways seem to equate lads on here who actually work their dogs, with the arseholes who you despise so much. Well, we are not, and I resent the implication. Theres an old saying, "running with the fox, and hunting with the hounds", which is what you appear to be doing by the tone of some of your posts. Theres allways been shithouses in the game, but the internet has highlighted them.........we are not all in thrall to these people, they're NOT our heros. Cheers. 18 2 Quote Link to post

Expand No mate that’s just how you read it. Half the lads on here who are part of regular discussion either don’t have dogs or don’t hunt anymore. It’s just a bit of chat. My comment was directly related to what wilf said on another post and he saw that following on from the thread about the lads at the funeral at Bedford. And to be fair I don’t overly despise anyone, I find it irritating as it affects my working life and also my life working dogs. I know a lot of lads who hunt ALOT and who give no fucks at all, some on here and others not. Yet they manage to go where they like, do what they like and catch a lot without being quite such knob heads as last night visitors. I do a fair bit (all be it not at the moment having had my main dog KIA) and it’s about 50/50 permission and poaching. I poach the same land over and over and the only time I EVER get any grief is when someone else has done so and done it badly, usually leaving dead deer in the middle of a field. 3 Quote Link to post
