Black and white....

.....powder this morning!

Double gunning on the crows. One a blackpowder muzzleloader and one a white powder breechloader ( over a century ago some called new nitro powders white powder).

95 birds down three of which were woodies and must not forget the squirrel behind me at 2yds! All shot from 7am to 11am. The bulk were the first two hours, it was frantic and loading the muzzleloader was frantic too and often abandoned for the breechloader until there was a break.

The muzzleloader was as black as a crows arse!

Great morning that especially this time of year. We dont have maize up here but looks to produce good results.

Many a good tune played on a old fiddle, but in this case the muzzle loader.

Bloody'ell, you want to see me cussing as I spill powder, drop wads and spill shot. Get the barrels caught in the net and picking me nose?
