DIDO.1 22,687
All politicians know the NHS if fcked. You simply cannot flood the UK with people and continue to give everyone free care. The NHS has become a monster and a politions career would be over for even suggesting that we need to look at other ways to fund or run it. I think they all realise that covid can now be blamed for destroying it rather than their incompetence. I could go on and on with examples of how terrible the NHS now is. But most of you will either of experienced it or will experience it in the coming years. This new decision is another nail in the NHS coffin and they know it. My brother won't have the jab so he will leave along with a bunch of his colleagues I met at a bbq at his house at the end of summer. Hopefully the government can replace them with staff from bongo bongo land. 8

They get sicker. They thought they would get the equivalent of a cold, some do, others, young ones included, are clogging up the hospital beds. 1

That's it mate, they may not be perfect but they reduce transmission and reduce serious disease. Again if some folk have any better suggestions I'd like to hear them? No good moaning about cancelled appointments and this and that if many won't help themselves. At the end of the day the NHS is stretched, is there any wonder why they are pushing for folk to get vaccinated? And yes the vast majority of folk are fine after contracting the virus but that small percentage that do need hospital treatment are a burden that possibly could be prevented.

Plus the fact that I'm a machine and didn't need hospital treatment, I jumped straight in to the deep end and didn't drown. Clearly I didn't need the vaccine mate. I don't work in the NHS and I'm not amongst the old and vulnerable either. Did you find any suggestions before asking another stupid question?

Having the jab reduces the chances of transmission though, makes it less likely you will pass it to the old and vulnerable. Come on mate, don't be selfish, do your duty.

tatsblisters 9,578
Looks like the union's are supporting this decision that i find disappointing . If the jab stopped you from catching it or spreading it then i could see the point in making it compulsory like the hepatitis jab that is mandatory to work in our hospitals.
