Think all hunting with dogs be done in next ten years or so so may as well just enjoy it while it lasts n make the most of it.

I agree with your sentiments about enjoying what you have now and I am sorry to put a bit of a downer on the posts but it could be more like 10months in Scotland, sadly.

You are right about society but the groups trying to stop people like the original poster doing what he loves are busy stressing to get it stopped, busy lobbying the Government and politicians, busy spreading misinformation. What is sad is they are a vociferous obsessive minority. We all know most people in society don’t care if a Terrier kills a rat or a Whippet catches a rabbit but those traditional activities are now squarely in the sights of those wanting everything banned in Scotland. It will be far more stressful when people are being fined, having dogs confiscated and being labelled ‘barbaric’ because they’ve let their lurcher catch a rabbit; that’s a scary glimpse into the future based on what we already know.

It’s not a case of us stressing, it’s a case of presenting the alternative arguments and the truth and letting the politicians know that there are a lot of good, decent people who love traditional field sports who are finally fed up of being caught in their political games. Apathy on our side just means they get their way.

I genuinely think we had our chance 16 year ago but enough wasn't done and now it's just simply to late, damage done..
