Grass is allways greener on the otherside. :)

Ireland, is low in rabbit numbers in most places, in my opinion, but, their is pockets of them about and their is a good few in these spots, nowt like Northern Uk, or Scotland though, from what i see and hear. :icon_eek:

One thing i do know, is well protected over here and can only be taken under licence, is the Irish hare.

Again, not as big a population of hares, as their is in the UK, their everywhere over their, in most parts from what my brother tells me whos lives over their.

Cheers for that Frank, will keep my eyes peeled for them! :icon_eek:

how about camarthen in our very own welsh wales, not too far and lots of farmland, i havent been there for years hunting , but the farmers were overjoyed to have someone keeping the red numbers down, not sure about house prices though , good luck with your quest mate !

Got a few farms down there but can't afford to live there! You're right about the red ones though.

There's areas in Scotland that are dirt cheap but would you choose to live in them.

Hawick is really cheap compared to most places. Galashiels is reasonable.

The lothians are getting silly. I live in Midlothian and prices are crazy. West lothian is cheaper and Edinburgh is a defenate no no. Mega expensive.

the likes of falkirk, stirling etc are reasoble too.

By reasoable I mean affordable on an average salary.

depnds what you like running mate, im from the north east and to be honest there isnt that much game about, and most people have lurchers up this way, thats why we travel south for most of our fun, its a different world down there for stuff to run in my opinion.

Sorry to be a bit of a retard but I'm geographically dyslexic and have no idea where North east and South are! Give me names of counties at least! Cheers :icon_redface:

I have quite a few mates from the north-east who think its worth the 5 hour drive to run their dogs down here,we have a lot of "variety"

Must be good if they travel that far? What species of deer do you get round there? Thanks :D
