markieboi 0
why you need a muzzle mate if its to use while working your ferret, you are bassically killing your ferret think about it if heaven forbid your ferret gets lost while out ferreting and you cant track him ect ect how is it goin to eat,but thats just if you where goin to work with the muzzle on just my opinion Edited January 18, 2008 by markieboi Quote Link to post

Coneytrappr 30
Back to the DarkAges we go. If that critter can't be retrieved for whatever reason you've doomed it to a slow and miserable death. Congrats. Quote Link to post

R_Oldroyd 17
Hi Why on earth would you muzzle a ferret. Poor thing. A ferrets needs all the weapons it can muster when going down a rabbit hole. In my opinion if a ferret can not be handled with ease when ferreting then it is dangerous thing especially when you employ staff. You need to have ferrets that you feel confident with. Chasing ferrets is not the game I like to play especially if they are taking chucks out of your hands. My staff wouldn't have it either. Sound like you need to spend more time with this particular animal. If its a young ferret handling will get them through the nipping stages. regards Roger Edited January 18, 2008 by R_Oldroyd Quote Link to post

young1982 1
The only time I would consider putting a muzzle on a ferret would be when applying medicine to sensitive area, mine had ear mites once and didn't like the drops in the ears, it never bite me but you don't how one could react. Meerihunter 7
Muzzles have no place in ferreting these days, only last weekend I was ferreting a river bank only to have rats running allroads out of a rabbit set. Imagine your ferreting trying to take on a rat or 2 with a muzzle on? Quote Link to post
