Just buy vortex

Recommended Posts

The reason I bought my Swaros was  because at the time I was doing a lot of stalking , this was 20 years ago.  I must say that they are quality and I havent looked through anything as good and wouldnt be without them but wouldnt like to pay todays prices. If I just wanted a pair for general use would look at something cheaper. They have been invaluable over the years and accounted for plenty deer and foxes that would probably have evaded me.

The pair that I had were really good, even though they were old and I’d bought them second hand, at the time nothing matched them for clarity or quality, but now everyone has upped there game and Swarovski have just upped their prices, that’s not to say I wouldn’t love a pair of the EL range

That sounds good, I don’t like too fine a reticule for stalking, but may have a look for one for my 6.5x55, was it more money, how long did it take to get???

this was the last outing for a vortex viper... its sat on a 6.5x55 in this photo, where the field breaks crops to wheat theres a muck dump!

it was 200yard to the baited area and I could clearly see the fox through a sh1t pair of lidl binoculars but the scope wouldn't pick it out.. this happened on 3 occasions and I was fcuking fuming!

ive got a mate with the same scope and hes never had this problem so weather it was duff coatings or something but when ever there was a sunset like this I couldn't see sod all through it so I got rid:(

during the day it was great and it could be used under a bright moon but it was no good for the witching hour.

I was mortified Dave, at the time it was the most expensive scope I’d bought:(

I know stav knows his stuff but this scope was crap.. the turrets were sloppy as f too… it’s still sat on the shelf in the shop nearly two years down the line?
