Coney 3
As I am sure you are all aware you will have heard of the current proposals to introduce licensing or even banning the use of airguns in Scotland, airgunning as a sport in Scotland could face stringent changes that could affect the sport forever. However there is a way all airgunning enthusiasts can fight these "Draconian Measures" by simply taking a few moments to sign an on-line petition with the information provided below. With the need for existing laws to be fully up-held first before they can even contemplate introducing even tougher ones is unimaginable. God only knows what new laws would be enforced but I can guarantee they will not be in the best interests of the airgunner. Additionally you can bet if they "Steamroll" this agenda in it will only be a matter of time before this is enforced in England, Wales etc, so I know everyone is passionate about the sport so log on and sign this petition. ( Please bear with me as I am no I.T. expert and I am sure there is a easier way to do this but this is how I did it). 1. Log onto the "10 Downing Street" web-site on www.number-10.gov.uk 2. On the home page go to "Be Heard" then click on E-Petitions. 3. Then go to "List Petitions" and click on "Select By Deadline" and simply forward past the next x6 pages until you find an Open Petition entitled "Help us protect and support our sport of airgun shooting from unnecessary and unfair legislation" 4. Click on this title and complete form. The deadline for the signing of this petition is the 23 Jan 2008 so please give this the urgency it requires, by the way so far 3,648 people have already logged on and signed this. As for the ANTIES only 366 have signed an ANTI-AIRGUN petition on the same site, As being relativley new to this site I appologise if this is common knowledge and already has been addressed. Coney. Deker 3,478
Even though those Scots hate us (especially when we show them how to play football ) I signed this a while back. We should stand together on issues like this..and I like Scotland as well....(probably because they are about the only football team we stand a chance of beating) Edited January 23, 2008 by Deker Quote Link to post
