TelephonePete 111
Hi just joined and I know this will have been asked many times but what is the ideal breeding for a general purpose Lurcher. Quote Link to post
Blackmag 6,102
You will get every answer under the sun Tom from beddy whippet to bull xs I don't think there is one ideal breeding as such just to many things to take in to consideration 1 Quote Link to post
TelephonePete 111
Well i kind of expected that so a bit more info. I have always liked the lurcher but a lifetime of owning dogs and its eluded me. If i had a lurcher i would want it as a companion which would enhance a mooch around in the fields and hedgerows. Spring the odd rabbit and just be a pal as is my bitch Collie asleep at my feet but really a coiled spring as its time to go out. Size medium ish. I would work it but not as a fanatical Lurcher Man. Is that a bit helpful. Quote Link to post

Chunky11 150
Lurcher to Lurcher, if the parents are doing what you want, you will have a good chance with the pups doing what you require. 3 Quote Link to post
