Guest mush
Why would it be thin skinned??? JMO that bitch (which i have seen) will throw fine to a WXG, I've always found whippet is very dominant . Quote Link to post
DiStuRBeD 0
hmm good question, if the line didnt breed reasonably true to type and you coudlnt get a similar line that bred true to type, then i would go for a purebred dog out of what she is made up of not bedlington, not collie either whippet or grey, if its small fields then i'd be more inclined to go whippet so i would knowing the littel about this dog that i do that whippet would be my choice, going by what i have read i am assuming the following has good stamina speed agility drive acceleration doesnt seem to be line bred, but i dont know anything about this dog other then the first few posts Mark wrote whippet should compliment them traits quite well i think, may bring the size down a touch Quote Link to post
Guest markbrick1
You'll just get a thin skinned whippet if you put that brindle bitch to a W x G. would think you would be putting her back to one of the dogs out of your last litter. that is a good choice there mush, youre learning If their the best dogs around as you keep telling everyone then you would be a bit silly if you bred to something else hay. ;-) LOL i have never said my dogs are anything but rabbit dogs maybe i would like the choice of other things, but one thing is down here we have small fields and a big dog is not suited either is a heavy dog thats why you have retired them 2 big bull xs Quote Link to post

Guest mush
years back all the lurchers around here were whippet types but when the new lamps came out and people started to want top lamping dogs instead of the one or two a night dogs, the size went up to 23-25 and most of the best ones i've seen down here have been of that size even with the small fields.
