I know mate I got Dan off Mousey for my son when he was 6wks old because he wasn’t keeping a pup.I stripped his head out in his garage and he realised he sold the wrong pup.We dug a few bits with him when he matured and was a nice thing to watch.When my son sold him to Larry it was a good dog wasted.I laughter at the shows when we showed him he beat churchy all the time from a pup to adult and vic about 6 time which was a £5000 dog.

If I could get my pics off photobucket I would put a pic up but he is sat with Dave in his backyard.I stripped his head out so Dave had to finish him off.He was a joy to watch graft and a really steady dog for a Lakeland but a shame it never worked again.

i only used the red bitch for ferreting she was the wife's dog some would say a waste but she could mark the ferret under the sod and when you dug down it would be there I took larry out ferreting a lot but he would never take a dog with him

He was a working dog with my dad who sadly passed away unexpected in March so we have his two patterdale terriers the 2 year old only started having the fits in April but are getting more frequent. Vets recommended the epilepsy meds but I've read lots of bad reviews on it for there health and that it doesn't help. I'm stuck what to do...

This may sound harsh but if he was mine i would have put him out of his misery as I think your dad would

Just a thought but do you by chance use Zoflora disinfectant on your floors, bowls, etc ? We had a lurcher that started having fits when we used it on the floors and when we stopped using it the fits stopped.

Lad I dig with had a Russell dog fitted a few times on him. We actually dug to the dog one day thinking he was on but he was having a seizure. 
Then one of my own began taking them also.

None were bred from and both eventually were PTS for the right reasons for the animal and our own peace of mind.

Personally I wouldn't keep an animal going if it needed medication to keep it alive,I don't think it's fair and quite selfish...I understand it was your dad's and you've lost him ..what would your Oldman of done? myself I would PTS and start again

One of my fells was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was about 5 years old which caused him to have fits on a regular basis. Both parents were healthy and so was the rest of the litter but he never made it past 6. 

You need to do what's best for the dog!
