Honda will run forever. Buy a decent second hand one I was doing a grass cutting job for a old boy who brought his house in 1977 and was given a Honda mower with it, the f***ing thing still runs as sweet has a nut. It’s older than me.

Last year I took it to a local bloke who reconditions em and got him to service it, that's its first service in its life. Its done some graft as well. I live half a mile away and I push it here and back to cut my little patch at the front. Can't bring myself to buy a cheap one.
Ken's Deputy 4,460
£240.00?! Ouch! I mean, yeah, thanks. I can recognise that's a bloody good price for one of these monsters. But, seriously; If you could see the pathetic little patch of grass I just want to keep under control? It's not even twenty yards by twenty foot! I was quite happy with that Bosch ~ granted, the grass box was a waste of fukking space! Maybe that'd be down to how long this poxy grass is? Dunno. I was just lusting after the size of those Honda ones! I'll run it past my neighbour. He knows some bloke in town who specialises in restoring shit like this. Did a fantastic job on my brush cutter and, I thought, was very reasonable indeed. I don't even know where the fukker is. But, I'll get my neighbour on the case. Maybe something'll come up? Fukking Bosch is going back. I know that much. Piece of shit. So are their local agents!

Just never the same, is it? Reminds me of those accused French collaborator girls, at the end of the war. Actually, I've just been laying there, abed, thinking. Do my best thinking before I get up: My neighbour has a fukking Huge lawn. And a ride on mower. He also has a Honda Foreman quad. And, as a farmer, he's a bit of a fukker for hanging onto things ..... I wonder? No harm in starting there though.

Yea I know what you mean the longer ago things were made the more robust they were and they lasted alot longer than today’s modern crap, I suppose it’s because everything is made as quickly and as cheaply as possible now so there’s more profit in it

Ken's Deputy 4,460
He's a fukking Lunatic, that guy! As it happens? My neighbour's just dropped me off a back box full of old fence posts! I've just put the Sawzall down, to make a well earned mugga tea! Back breaking work. Hauling an armful into my work room. Cutting them to size. Hauling the ten inch pods out to the wheel barrow (Can't get it through the front way. Back way sort of negates it all) Tell ye what though? No fumes. Precious little noise, past my ear muffs. NO fear of fukking kick backs! Probably half the speed of a chain saw? But, so what?! And, if this blade ever gets blunt? I'll just pull it out and slot a fresh one in! Oh! And I managed to run it past him ~ that I'm looking for a Honda mower! The seed's planted now
