My first car was cortina mk1 "lotus " i got it off a old women for 100 quid and she'd had it from new and it was mint ,then I had escort mk1 Mexico that I sold to a pal and he had it for over 20 Yr [BANNED TEXT] flogging it to some fella into rallys. 

I had 3 litre capri ,fcuk that tank could move but nearly killed myself in it

The lads you bumped into, don’t know what age they were, but if they were old fogeys I probably know them and if they were youngsters they were probably the sons of some of the old fogeys I know ! Lol 

Great really that little bit of British sub-culture is still alive and well.
