Dawn B 212
There is NO cashback from Canon now it ended in December. You can buy the Canon body for £400, the flashgun for £75 and the lens for £129. Total £604! NOT a good deal at Comet Rew.

Dawn B 212
A good basic zoom is the 75-300mm USM lens. About £160, if you have the cash, go for the IS version (image stabilizer) best of luck, get the pics up!
Guest world.hunters
are those lenses any good for action shots as i have heard that IS is no good for action shots??????????
Dawn B 212
IS is better for action it reduces camera shake WH. Here are a few examples of the 28-135mm IS lens. Dawn.
doxhope 2
Dont use Canon gear, but have Nikon with Vibration Reduction, I always switch this off when photographing moving objects.
IanB 0
The IS allows you to use slightly slower shutter speeds when using it, but they do have two stabilser functions one is for panning shots as shown http://web.canon.jp/imaging/lens/expression/index5.html . There not essential but nice to have, I'm sure the optics are slightly better than the standard lens you mentioned also.
