I’ve always believed that hunting with hounds was the thin end of the wedge . The pack that I follow has managed to carry on . And the field is much the same as it always was . We have our usual antis that try their best to hamper the day , sometimes they win , most of the time they don’t. But it is tiresome, to be constantly harassed by the muppets. And more than the field , I’ve noticed a higher turnover of hunt staff , who get fed up with the constant agro .  I had a chat to one of the women sabs  , I said if you care about hunting with dogs , why aren’t you out on a Sunday morning in the Cotswolds hassling the Gypsy boys coursing hares ? We all know the answer to that . 
           If hunting stops , these nutters won’t hang up their balaclavas, shooting will be next . But let me share with you a tale of how the antis tried to disrupt pheasant shooting in my neck of the woods. A small group of purple haired vegans led by a very noisy , tattooed, pierced, stereotypical veg type girl , started to show up on shoot days on some of the local commercial and syndicate shoots . The guidelines were , if they show up during a drive , the guns were put back in their slips and the drive halted . Well , when you are talking about days shooting, that cost £30-£40,000 being ruined, it wasn’t long before the shoots employed “ stewards “ who were basically a bunch of local hard nuts, doormen, and rugby players, they looked intimidating, the head of the “stewards” , a notorious local hard man , did an excellent job . He told the sabs exactly what was going to happen if he ever saw them again , or heard that they were on a shoot again . He was well paid for his team , and we all lived happily ever after . It’s not impossible to sort them out , you just need to be prepared to put your hand in your pocket and employ the right people.

Said the same myself Arry..no one was interested at the time...they singing a different tune now ..always said there should of been some sort of license system for carrying out pest control with dogs above and below...maybe a competence test of some sorts like in Europe?..too late now,will always be that small minority that just can't play the game and f**k stuff up for the tidy ones

Local pack to me had a few chaps turn up and sorted that anti problem. Haven’t seen them since. A lot of packs are worried about making it worse and having more turn up. But let’s be realistic the antis that turn up to actively sab these days are out numbered every time. It’s not like the stories I hear from the 80’s 90’s

Heard on the radio this morning there trying to get it in parliament very sneaky how there doing it….there trying to push through because of theft of dogs it won’t be classed as theft of goods no more it’ll be classified as something I can’t remember the word they used but because it’s a owned living being but the minute I heard what they said straight away I was like that’s hunting with dogs f****d as it means even with poaching some else’s land as then animals are owned an a living being….all sneaky sneaky how they can push one law through for one thing but it covers another thing
