Out for another foraging mooch this morning. Was about two miles from the car and it pissed down and that f***ing Jack Pike jacket useless piece of shit let the rain through like a cheese cloth shirt

Out Foraging did get a feed but more stuff I didn't take. This striking mushroom stood out.  Probably "The Sickener" Poisonous. "The Stinking Dappling" Poisonous. This

Out today was hoping for some Ceps but no luck on that front. Seen this coming up in the Grass another I had to look up "Fairy Fingers" I did get a feed though some Horse Mushrooms and

I did a Seek on the photo it says Mottle gill mushroom mate.

See what you think of it on the Wildwood.com site link mate.

To be honest I would not encourage the fungi in household plants. But still interesting.

I’ll tell her to get them out ….. She got different types growing in the one pot lol … the other ones I sent you the pics of came from that pot as well …..

Fred it is one of the Boletes but a but far gone to tell quite which one. There are good ones such as the Cep and Bay Bolete.

Yes Fred  could well be a Penny bun / Cep but a job to tell. Keep an eye out in the same area for more.

Heres is a big one o found today the only one I had so big I had to cut in half to get it in the basket 9 inches across. Few little maggots in it but Penny Bun/Ceps are such good mushrooms I'm going to eat it or cut it up and dry it.

Should cut white and stay white. Should have white sponge turning olive as it get old. Rule of thumb for Boletes is must have no red on it should not go blue when cut through.

This mushroom first appears as an egg, partly submerged in the surrounding substrate with a jelly like feel. The mushroom then (slowly) bursts out and forms...
