Stavross 16,003
105 stepping stones across the grass to the pond and a armillary sundial in the middle, I’m glad I got to do this for the old dears because someone else had quoted almost 2 weeks and 1400 quid to do it, I quoted 2 days and I’m still making good money from it, it fu*ks me off that some people think that because they have a few quid it’s ok to try and mug as much out of them as you can
Daniel cain 45,889
Got asked if I'd cut a hole in a garage wall and fit a uPVC door for someone just moved into a house we built....I said I'd do it for £250 cash hrs work....found out the cheapest quote he had was £500 had a load of calls about fencing jobs but just too busy to go take a look a minute..tons of work out there
Stavross 16,003
There’s loads of work, I’ve just been and priced a patio, put a quote in for what I thought was a bit to much, she said yes there and then, turns out I was 1200 quid cheaper than the next quote, not sure when I’m going to fit it in
Daniel cain 45,889
Start of first lockdown,Someone quoted my uncle £3800 for 75 m of feather edge fencing..he payed for the materials around £750 and I did the job in 2 days (took down the old timber fence and another chain link before I could start),left him to get rid of the rubbish,I made a grand and payed the labourer £300..he didn't pay me for the fixings the tight cnut...2 weeks later wanted a gate built..I bought one for £85 and charged him £400 after I cladded it with some feather edge...my Oldman gave me a pat on the back for having him up told him I charge £40 per slab supply and fit....gonna cost him 5k for the job he wanted done..looked at me gone off....cheapest he could find was 8500...rang me up...i told him lay them yourself ..I don't like working for family or friends... 1
