He’s not trusted enough to do the tea yet

to be fair, he was only there from 9 til 2 and all he had to do was load the blocks in and have a bit of a tidy up, he did a bit of pointing up ( in a fashion) and had a go with the stihl saw, he was genuinely a good lad, just did what was asked, next time I need someone I’ll be giving him a ring

That’s the common myth mate, but we are the grown ups and it’s our job to show them the way.

Don’t get me wrong, I have seen my share of wankers but I was just ruthless and f****d them off….one bad apple will rot the whole barrel but if you give lads a sense of belief and pride then it can be win/win

I used to employ lads from all sorts of backgrounds, some of them not very nice but I ended up with a decent little crew of young British lads who were all better men at work than their ordinary everyday life allowed them to be…..real, hard, remorseless graft and them lads made me proud plenty of times.

Believe in them, show them, give them a sense of pride and your British lad won’t let you down.

Sorry for what seems like a lecture but raising up our own lads out of backgrounds like mine was something I was pretty passionate about

Trying to find good lads round here that will do the graft is a nightmare the last one lasted a day and spent most of that on his phone or his vape, the best lads are the country/farm lads but they can go and earn a man’s wage, I had a lad a few months ago who would graft all day but the drugs have got the better of him now 

it’s a shame because I’d rather give one of our own a few quid but this lad will do anything I ask of him, and he calls me sir ( lol ) he even asks if he can go for a piss
