Busy old week last week, services in, finish off prep for sub floors, prep for base for a summer house ( some summer house, it works out at 10 cube ) after the prep for the sub floors it turns out the people that were meant to be pumping them in can’t get access to the site, so it looks like we will be doing them, at 18 cube mixed on site that won’t be getting done on a day rate

off to install lampposts at a school this week so that will give me time to decide how much I want to do the concrete

Most of what I do is just common sense ( and YouTube videos) but I work with a builder on things like this and he is unbelievable, he did all the oak and rebuilt the sandstone gable ends, a real skill

I was a self employed main contractor ground work for a lot of my working life mate.

That a tidy job you can tell you take pride in doing a good job.

I do enjoy this kind of work, after spending 25 years working on trucks and chemical tankers and not really giving a sh*t it’s now nice to be working for myself and with mates and wanting to do a good job, I was offered another lamppost job yesterday where someone had concreted them in and wondered why they are all leaning now, so I’ll have a look at that

P.S. them holes were filled with concrete, not just left like that ?

You will aways have work if a good job and tidy. People only want to pay to have the job done once. Word gets around if you take pride in your work.
