First I fished a foot deep and was rewarded with a rudd straight out of a Bernard Venables painting. Setting more depth resulted in a couple of small bream either side of some zoo creature that took 20 yards of line before I added more drag and lost the hook link. A carassin came next then what looked like a bream roach hybrid on my fourth last cast. Just under 2 hours and home in time for tea.
