Apologies.. just butting in with a quick question for the likes of DC and Stav or anyone else in the know.

Can you recommend a paving seal please?? It's for my plaspave block paving. It's due for re-sanding in a few parts then I want to reseal the whole lot. About 110 sq mtrs I think.

I see there's a few different types of sealant out there. Water based and solvent based.

Any ideas what to go for fellas??

We use eco floorseal or Everest eco sealers, all the eco’s are water based and the only reason we use them is customers like anything that says eco, they don’t seem any different then any of the polyurethane or acrylic sealers, just make sure you get the one for concrete and not natural stone ?

That’s the stuff I use, it’s about 100 quid for 20lt, they say you should do 2 coats but a block paving lad told me just do one, put it on with a watering can and go over it with a masonry paint roller or you could just follow the instructions ( lol )

Cheers fellas!! Reassuring knowing you both use the same stuff!! Lol..

Using a watering can would get it down nice and quick I guess. I did do mine some years ago with a water based one.. Everseal or something like that, yellow drum off Amazon.. I used a pump sprayer. Think it worked OK but was fairly slow going and obviously a ballache keeping it off the lawn.

Thanks for getting back.. I'll let you know if i f**k it up!! ?

Dear Gardners World,

I've just used Screwfix no nonsense seal on my crazy paving, some bits are spotless some are going green already.

Please advise.

Yours frustratingly,

D. Cornwall ?
