They'd ring you to walk to the other end of the site when you're busy to come and make a cut with the rail saw when it's there in front of them. I just can't understand that attitude, especially when all them jobs are job & knock, I think that's where my views against authority stems from. I still feel guilty and akward watching lads working even when I'm ES on site, crack myself up sometimes. When I was ES I used to get stuck in mate even now as a Mom I muck in helping the S&T rebuild barriers ect I draw the line at the shovel now though lol I was 58 the other day and my shovels batteries have expired 1
Ken's Deputy 4,460
Been replacing a couple of yards of fence, today. One of those 'five minute' jobs that soon became a brutal and bloody battle of attrition. I've also come to realise and accept that, now that I've started eating my dinner earlier in the day? I'm absolutely fukking worthless without it! Always ate around 20 / 21:00? Now, I'm more like 16:00 and pretty fukking useless by 15:00! My hands are now an absolute fukking agony of nettle stings too. having cut them down, then spent the afternoon crawling on them! Oh, and in case anyone hasn't spotted it? Those are my Irwin clamps, beside my Irwin tote (Dan )

Apparently they are trying to get rid of a lot of dead wood, let's see how it pans out, more responsibility means more money, RMT will have a busy few months. Shit load of that on track Greb. Its like the civil service.
