Will do tony thanks.

Are you on the bbs? They booted me out because I gave as good as I got :hmm:

Shame as I bought and sold lots on there. Anyways, this site seem a lot more useful and the people are a lot more clued up. Not asking stupid questions like 'what pellets should I use for my airgun?' etc.

Hey again mate, i am on the BBS aswell. But i do prefer this forum. Like you say everyone on here are far more down to earth. I find that no matter what airgun i use, (and iv used a few) Crossman Accupell will always come out on top. They seem to shoot accurately out of all guns. Hope this helps and glad to see we have another great member on board. Cheers

I had a boresnake but after reading posts on rimfirecentre.com it put me off using it, quite a few people on there had got them stuck in the barrel :icon_eek:

So after reading a post that recomended you pick out the brush from inside the boresnake I decided to do that, its still a bitch to pull through but I don't worry about it snapping anymore.

After looking around for a good cleaning kit for ages and not finding one, I decided to make one up myself just getting everything seperately. I'm waiting for my last order to come this week but below is everything I ordered:

Hoppes Elite gun cleaner

Hoppes Elite copper terminator

Hoppes Elite gun oil

(ordered from Deben.com)

Tipton 1-Piece Deluxe Cleaning Rod 17 to 20 Caliber 26" Carbon Fiber 5 x 40 Female Thread

Tipton Cleaning Jag 17 Caliber 5 x 40 Male Thread Brass

Tipton Rifle Bore Brush 17 Caliber 5 x 40 Thread Bronze Package of 3

Gunslick Cleaning Patches 17 to 22 Caliber Square Synthetic Package of 225

Hoppe's Universal Bore Guide 17 to 416 Caliber

Otis Gun Cleaning Brush Double Ended Nylon Package of 3

(order from Midwayuk.com)

Hope this helps fella

Cool mate thanks. What was the overall price dude?

Online the stuff from Deben came to £35.27 plus postage of £6.50 (not cheap I know but had christmas money burning a hole in my pocket), but went it came the postage on the invoice came to £9 something so look out.

Everything from Midwayuk came to £66.15 including postage

You can get the stuff cheaper elsewhere if you don't mind ordering everything seperately, but I wanted to find one site/shop that sold everything I wanted but I couldn't, so this was the next best thing.

How you finding the 452?

I've really only just started using it but BLOODY AWSOME! I went from a 40ft lbs rapid to the hmr and i cat get enough! not happy about the price of ammo though! it really is the perfect bunny bashing gun. i sell my rabbits so anything that isn't a head shot is a waste but i dont mind!

I really should get a proper cleaning kit but im after a roofmounted lightforce for my jeep first. still, with all this wet shat weather there's plenty of time.

So is all that stuff you ordered needed to clean a hmr?

The cleaning rod, bore brush and jag are only for a .17 cal gun, however if I was then to get another gun lets say a 222 I would have need the same kit just in 222.

The other stuff on my list could be used for any cal. gun you wanted.

I just got a new lamp it's a 100watt nite stalker +700m, got it from Litts in Newport on my way back home for scotland. I went in to get a lightforce but the sound bloke who served me recomended that I go for the nite stalker he said thier of better quality than the lightforce. I think because lightforce are a well known you think their the best but you end up paying more for the name not the lamp.
