Whippet x spaniel

Has anyone done this x pal thinking of putting whippet over his spaniel bitch wanting ferreting dog good nose with a bit of speed for bolts

What would make that cross any better than a Whippet for ferreting?

Be used to work gun as well he don't want something that looks like a lurcher running dog he loads of land an not aloud running dogs on

Seen a few of this breeding over the years all cracking little tough mooching dogs a couple of mates have same but have been put back to beddy/whippet they are very hardy type.

Been looking for a springer x greyhound for years. Whippet x would be a good rabbiting dog as well I would have thaught. You could always put it back to a grew in years to come. Goodluck with it

Same and the lad did a repeat mating and they were the same too. The bitch was a Brittany but not too different to a springer.

Me personally I don't think it would do anything put slow it down a Good whippet should be able to do anything that cross will do and better . but all the best with the breeding plan

There are a few of that cross over here and they do well I've heard. I like the look of them as well, they all come out very similar. Better mooching type than a straight whippet.
