Ken's Deputy 4,460
Well, lads; I decided slashing pathways through it would just leave shreds of briar which may, or may not, take up the gear. Effectively? I could end up with a cross hatch of rejuvenating shit! So, I hatched plan B. I hummed " Sympathy For The Devil " as I went all Agent Orange on the shit, as far as my sprayer would go, from the side lines. My plan is now to repeat, as long as it doesn't get rinsed. I'll cut and crush my way into what, I hope, will become dead wood. Then, I'll hit it again from there. It's a start, as least. Now, I have my hand rail. I can get up there with ease I have my nasty chemicals. I know where to get more. I'm in this for the long game
Ken's Deputy 4,460
Anyone ~ in the know ~ think seven days to the day might have been at all premature in going back up there and giving the same places absolute hell? I was peering over the fence, on and off. By today, there were definitely hurt plants. But, I'm thinking about losing the weather now, see? I'm thinking I might even wait to see what this second rather heavier (In terms of dripping wetness ~ it was the last of the same batch ~ looks like, in a week or three. Then consider the slash hook and / or Brush Cutter going in there, to clear the dead. I then figure to push the brash against the wall of living shit and burn it there Thus taking out another foot or two of the wall. Why waste good flames? Anyone see anything I'm missing? Ken's Deputy 4,460
Lovely idea, Martyn. Only, they appear to banned in UK & EU. Of course, That wouldn't stop me getting a gruelling but genuinely fantastic job done the most efficacious way. But, when I checked them out, on ebay, and found they're All made in chink?!? Fukk Right Off! Chink anything's bad enough. But, I normally prefer my lethal weapons made in Europe or US. Think I'll have to have a try with my standard tri blade. See some circular saw types. But, half are chink shit. Others are US and the shipping is eye wateringly above the cost of the blade

Ken's Deputy 4,460
Flattop; I've used glyphosate for Years, mate. And that's just the problem. Same stuff. Same place. Year after year. It's a weed suppressant. These brambles weren't always there. They've invaded like islamists, while I was indisposed. Now, I have a whole slum ghetto to clear. The shit's over six foot high. Totally impenetrable. And it's moving Damn fast! Time for strong stuff. Sharp blades and fire.
