I wish I’d got one ages ago !

I started my reloading journey a while ago . I’ve been upgrading and buying bits of kit as I gained experience . It’s not a cheap hobby , but the benefits are you can get a bit more accuracy out of your rifle and once all the kit is bought ( you will never have everything you want ) , it’s cheaper. 
         I enjoy most parts of the reloading process, the cleaning, trimming, priming and seating, but hated the powder weighing. So I bought a Lyman gen 6 powder system, Why didn’t I get one sooner . It’s quick and accurate and I am now in reloading Nirvana. Peace out life’s good

ive the hornady one , and it make life so easy

i also bought a set of digital scales just to check to odd throw , and it seems to be throwing accurate

Just looked at the photo gain SL , and I can see you have the same scales as me

I didn’t bother to check the batch I’ve just loaded as they were .223 and it fills the cartridge right up to the base of the neck , so if there was a discrepancy, I would see it . But I use the Hornady scales to do a spot check every few rounds normally. I think it’s worth doing . But the Lyman is very consistent.

Looks like good kit. I’m just using rcbs uni-flow mounted on a lyman turret press, it’s accurate but seems a bit dated compared with your set up SL.

These things make life so easy . Just press how many grains - enter, set to auto repeat, it beeps when it’s done , you pour it down your funnel, put the pan back on the scale and away you go again . It even counts how many you have done .

This might sound really bad but I’m a Yorkshire man and Uber busy at the moment so cutting down on time is the way forward for me. 
 

ive never cleaned or tumbled brass and haven’t cleaned a pocket out for months.. just stick a bronze brush in the lathe and clean the necks out prior to resize.. 

my weighing set up consists of some £15 scales from the local weed shop, I drop the primed cartridge on the scale zero it put cartridge under the powder thrower and stick it back on the scales if it’s over just tap a few granules out but if it’s within + or - .1 grn it gets loaded  

been doing a load of .243 for a mate who was getting runners with some bargain bucket Sako stuff.. he ain’t gettin runners any more

if they start sellin them for £15 I’ll be in the gang with you sl

Good groups Si . I’m sure I could cut corners. I don’t tumble anymore I use an ultrasonic cleaner with a bit of white vinegar and washing up liquid, and they come out spotless. But I enjoy messing about with it . It’s just a bit of a hobby , and I prefer that to TV .

I’m with you on that, I enjoy doing it but works been carnage the last few months… me mates are all taking the piss cos I’ve been working weekends which is unheard of

Out of interest, where are you lads keeping your reloading powders? I’ve read that some police authorities are confusing nitro powders and black powder storage regulations.....

I keep mine on a high shelf in my workshop , in its plastic bottles.  As long as it’s in a cool dry place , away from a heat source, or naked flame it’s ok . I think the wooden box thing is just for black powder . It doesn’t surprise me that there is confusion. The FEO’s aren’t always experts in shooting . The thing is with nitro powder , it will just burn , if you put it in a safe or a tin box it will create pressure and explode if there is a fire ,  better to just be in the open, but out of reach of kids .
