Garlic & Ginger Paste?

Recommended Posts

Best little blender for making it, please?

I remember reading, somewhere, how most of it tends to end up stuck under the blades and around the bowl. This is true!

However, there's now a way around this and the problem's been addressed. But, I've lost the links and can't remember the details.

Like to make 1/2 to 1 pint at a time.

What's anyone using, please?

I agree, so my Mrs tells me ?

Cheers, D.

Yeah we've got a spice grinder, from my old man's mate, brilliant it is, one of those ninja things that the mrs bought about a year ago, BUT, I enjoy the spicy food we eat more if I grind them up in my mortar and pestle, which I bought about 7 or 8 years ago.

Maybe more in the mind as much as the taste buds, as it's more 'traditional'?  ? ?

Try..

Shan Foods ginger and garlic pastes are carefully selected, processed and packed to ensure premium...

Most of the UK on -line sites will sell a similar paste.

Pompey is choc-a -block with ethnic food shops,...who would have ever thought it, eh..?

WE buy a few jars of this at a time,..its quick and easy to use....?

Phil; Even as you were typing that, I was researching ;)

Allegedly may even be British made? We'll see. But, I sussed and rejected plenty that were certainly chink shit.

Fact it, mate; I enjoy fukking around out there, making shit. And, Al' is absolutely fukking dead set against shop bought G&G pastes. I think he says the preservatives fukk the flavour. Vinegar?

I follow a recipe from an Indian lady. Reckons it's good for six months, in the fridge. And I know what goes in it, because I put it there myself :)

Now I'm gonna give this hand grinding game a go. If I don't get on with it? I'll just get two engineering fukking bricks! ?

My next trick is gonna be a chicken Do Pyaza. I tried So fukking hard to get me head round a Jalfrezi. Just couldn't hack all those big, visible chunks of bell peppers :(

Good point, Shaaark. It's just that it's a quirk in my very nature to wish to do Exactly as I see. Otherwise, I feel I'm not replicating the genuine article.

And, how far can we bend a rule before we lose all touch with that given reality? Look at what Crufts / KCUK do to dogs.
