Have a lot of time for paracord, wrist loop at one end, finger loop at other, wraps round hand when not in use or just dangles from wrist comfortably and when I lost one, zero Fs given.

Not an answer I'm afraid, but an alternative.

Strong stuff does nice slip leads. Had a couple free with a collar. Still got one. They are cheap I think to buy

I use a birra this webbing strap now when the get a bit old and the ladders risk flying down the m1 just cut the buckle off and your away ,slips nice and being abit wider dunt cut in if u got a pulling b*****d ,ya can buy them wi loop handle stiched in ,found a camo 1 once what someone had lost and yep I lost it 2

I picked some leather type 6ft ones up from a greyhound shop not long back real cheap like £6 eatch 

 

Don't need them when your throwing them out the sun roof of the forrester anyway

Like black  neck I use a lot of those webbing straps, you can buy a pair of five meter ones for a few quid, cut the buckle off and you’ve a few slip leads.

Make the wrist loop just big enough to go over your hand, shouldn't lose them then. Might trail it through cow shite mind
