Ended up doing nearly 1600 miles in just shy of a week......it done me in to be quite honest but all good practise for the mighty Hammers tour of Europe coming up Thanks for getting back chief. Yes, a very wise move you made there regarding dodging the Bealach.. and a pat on the back to the bikers for tipping you off. You saved yourself a ton of stress.. and to be totally honest the you didn't miss out on any views either.. like you said. You would have headed north from Applecross and pulled into the big layby on the left just before the road bends right towards Shielgaig. That's got to be one of the best view points in the UK I'd say. Looking out to the island of Rassay.. then Skye behind there, mountains and all... then the Outher Hebs (Lewis and Harris) right in the background!! Absolutely breathtaking! I didn't get a pic to do it justice. But it's all stored in the old memory bank!! I did manage just the one pic of the Bealach though.. curtsey of my eldest daughter out of the back window.. I'd got my hands 'slightly' full!! All the vehicles must be gridlocked to either side when the pic was taken... Hope the hammers have cracking season for you too mate.. bound to be some journey!! I'm having a few bob on Cottee for the golden boot!!...lol..

Thankyou squire if i know my West Ham it'll be a short lived pleasure I was genuinely stunned by the scenery ive seen parts of the Highlands and West Coast before but this was something else....normally im stopping every 2 minutes taking a thousand pictures only to get back home and delete 995 because they're nearly all the same so didnt bother this time just took a handful on the phone....typical !....yes the bikers were good lads, even headed me a chaperone through one awkward spot, good people for Jocks. Stunning place that i hope to see more of over the coming years......all the best
