@GreymanThat's Edale in the valley there where the railway worker had his sighing in episode 40. The line runs through the valley bottom then goes into a tunnel on the left under the hill.

you can see the geographic preferences, from Scotland to Cornwall the landscape they pop up in is always similar, another sign of naturalising rather than random releases, thanks for the heads up

Wow that looks a cracking spot mate. It's something I've always fancied doing just getting all the gear in a big rucksack and going off grid for a few days.

Cheers mate! Yes, it's right good little spot that is. It's on Rushup edge. I left the car in Mam tor car park. I scanned my National trust ticket on the parking machine.. paid me up until midnight. It's says no overnight parking but i can't see who's going to be monitoring that at those hours! It's exactly a mile walk along the edge. I earmarked the pitch a few weeks back when I had a walk up there with my Mrs and daughter for the first time. Massive views for not very much effort!

It's good bit of escapism if you like, especially for my work mate who I usually go with. He's single, lives in a little flat with no garden and has recently started up a little business on the side and he's getting mega stressed with it all. These little trips out do his head a world of good. Me.. I just like to get away from the Mrs and the shit she watches on the tele for a night! Lol..

This is him. Away from the daily grind!

Any lads on hear done Ben Nevis as the daughter was telling me yesterday the son inlaw and a few of his mates are on about doing it and I fancy tagging along with them if they decide to do it.

I haven't but my old man has done them all, Nevis, Snowdon, etc. I have a couple of  weekends off starting from this Saturday and I think I'm going to do Showdown with him, he's asked me to go on walks with him for a few years now but never been bothered. He's 66 in April and we haven't got much time to make more memories.

No, been up Fortwilliam a good few times but never had the opportunity to get up Ben Nevis. It is on my to do list mind. Just got the route up here, I think this is the most popular way up and down, the tourist route as they call it. 11 mile round trip altogether and that starts at the Breaveheart car park. Me and my Mrs camped on the Glen Nevis site there years ago, think we were only 20 or 21. If I go back up there I'll more than likely camp there again as the site in near to the beginning of the trail up. Is it a trip for this year mate or you are leaving it for now as the weather is on the turn?

Spot on advice 👌

I've done it a few times . You need a decent level of fitness , but it's a nice walk.

Get it done pal! Any ideas what route you'll use for Snowden. I guess your dad will know anyway but I found this helpful for a bit of guidance..

Here’s the official Walk up Snowdon list of the Routes up Snowdon in order of difficulty...

I've done the Whatkin and the Rhyd Ddu..

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
