Bloody ace that mate! That's a fair old weight saving and it looks like you've got loads of fuel there for the xboil. What's your fuel type preference mate? I know there's a few different options out there. Definitely a cracking bit of kit that is and like you say.. if it takes a little longer to boil some watter so what!!

I just use meths from pound shop or bio ethanol.  Av a look at des cattys stoves on Etsy or Google speedster stoves both dead cheap for just the burner. Also I like proper food a steak or burger or take a chilli in a zip lock freezer bag. Them summit meals are a rip off, some are a tenner a pop. And eating food out of a foil bag. Eek that I want a nice glass of red and a steak or a gourmet burger lol. Don't get my wrong I've ad them bags and are convenient,  but I just prefer proper food and enjoying cooking it in the hills taking my time and away from the hustle n bustle of life work ect. Just my thoughts on it mate

Totally with you there mate! I've had, and got a few of those summit meals kicking about. I think I'll take them on the 2 nighter upto the Lakes purely to save weight and then filter the water for them whilst I'm up there. But yes.. give me a nice burger anytime cooked in the egg pan knicked out of the kitchen cupboard ffs!! Lol.. I'll be looking into those stoves and fuel. Was looking at them on Amazon at the weekend. I can feel a pissed up purchases coming on soon!! Lol..

Talking of nice camp food.. check this out! My sister sent them to me..  a woman she followes on F.book cooks some top notch snap when she's out. I guess the location right. Little Langdale in the Lakes. I've stood almost in the very spot looking over to Pike o'stickle over in the opposite side of the valley when I was out with the E&E foot pack. Those chips look bloody good though eh!!

Absolutely mate! I was actually looking at them over the weekend.. partly just out of interest but I can definitely see me going down the weight saving route in the near future. Like you say.. very cheap too! Be interesting to see the pics and weight of your stove mate thanks and also let us know what what you think to your new tent.. sounds the business that does! I wish I'd weighed my pack on my first few camps I really do. Got to start somewhere abd learn as you go along I suppose. I'm on family holls soon for 2 weeks but penciled a Kinder camp in for the end of July and the hopefully a 2 nighter in the Lakes after that in August. That's the plan anyway! Lol. Off to work now.. roll on 1:00!!

I’ve used one of these for the last 10/15 years mate pretty bullet proof in truth

Yes.. I like the look of them mate. Looks like there's a good few of those types knocking about now. Not 100% sure but I reckon they're all based around the original Trangia stove?

Like you say.. not a deal can go wrong unless you drench yourself in fuel and light a fag up!!??

Had one of these myself as well for years , proper good little stove for the dollar. It's just that my others pack down smaller and fit in a 750ml and 450ml titanium pot and weigh less again . Food for thought .

It's concentrated with having the moisture removed, good bit of protein, and handy if you're trying to reduce your kite

Just sorting my stuff out for a weekend away mate found the old meths stove also the wood gas stove which is a useful little standby as you can find all your fuel on the floor so worth keeping in the car as a just incase i,ve stuck a vid up as it’s easier than trying to explain how they work though the blokes a bit of a belter you’ll get the gist of it and the daughter appears to have nicked my jet boil gas one as she’s been off camping last essential for me is a good strike iron ?

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
