Seen it mate and the lad who did that video actually messaged me on another group. Will try it and if it does, it's just a small area around vent, so no biggie to put a bit on. Cheers

Had a quick camp out in the new Hilleberg tent last night, nice chilled camp. Enjoyed the tent, struggled to find a decent flat pitch. A bottle of red and a meatballs meal and dry roasted peanuts, read my book and listened to a podcast.  Nice little overnighter to reset the batteries, love it. Looking forward to some more challenging winter weather to test tent ect.

What's your Jetboil food of choice  if you don't mind me asking??

I was in Cotswold outdoors in Bakewell today checking this lot out. I was wondering how the ready to eat meals compared to the dehydrated stuff..

I am a tight arse mate, so only buy the wayfarer ready to eat ones and only when on buy one get one half price lol. There not bad, but just found some others called Look What We Found ( I don't know how to put a link up to show you them , but if you Google them ). They only sell them in Waitrose and they are only £1.99 so am going to give them a try.   Only downside no Waitrose were I am so would have to nip to Alderly Edge and see how the other half live to get a few, or my sister lives in Poynton and one there so mite get her to get me a few. They get a good review on a few YouTube channels so worth a look.

Is that you moored up for the winter now Squire, or will you still get about?

I,m on a shipping canal so the bridges are all manned, travelling times get shorter in the winter as the bridges shut earlier but can still come and go as you please within those hours, when it gets really quiet jan/feb time you may sometimes need to phone up and book the bridges as one keeper may man 2/3 bridges and cycle between them, the birth in the marina is mine all the time even if I leave for 6 months as I pay a yearly fee it will be empty when ever I come back ??

Those ration packs are a waste of money, unless you are on expedition. Any tinned goods will do ok for a few days in ziplocks, eg beans etc (I really like the tinned tripe they do here). A couple of kgs of cooked chicken wings and some uncoocked meat. Pasta/rice/quinoa/ramen etc for carbs. Chocolate, maybe some dried fruit and nuts etc. I can feed 2 people for 4 days on less than 20€. That's feeding around an extra 1500cal a day per person too. Weight wise looking at carrying about 4-5kg each.

Something I have been trying to nail is making really concentrated stews and soups so that most of the liquid has gone and I just need to add it when cooking. Not cracked it yet, as the flavour seems to go funny and the veg just turns to mush.

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
