My old man can motor on for a fella in his 60's when walking his dog, not bad for the February slop over the fields.

He worked there for 40 years, understandable.

Fella from our village has just done the 268 mile Spine Race, the veteran is quite well known around these parts, gave up topping Everest to rescue some folk, Leslie Binns.

I would say the ground plays a big part. I average around 15 miles a day at work, then a couple of hours with little dog. After all these years on the back of a bin lorry the old knees are taking a hammering. never been above 11 and half stone.

Was he there when the avalanche / earthquake hit ? 
 

I know a group of lads there when it happened . Said it was absolutely horrific and some of them suffer massive survivor based ptsd guilt

does any of that make sence....

he walked..no ran  12 miles......at 13 mile an hour....but it took him 2 hours 41 mins.....im confused
