I think back in the day a lot of places where there was double fences etc , the hares were easier.  The hares didnt have to out run the dog but rather use the obstacles to evade capture.  This type of land was normally pasture land . And as such is easier to rum and turn on . A very good dog could bully the hare away from the bad fences and the races were usually at the minute,  minute and half . Whereas where mchull runs it's a test of endurance.  Yes a good dog can kill anywhere . But bring a fen dog up  to most places in Scotland that's never been taught the wire . You will blank . Take a top dog that only runs ayrshire paddocks,  and it will blow its tank . Horses for courses . In January

Horses for courses indeed without a good hunting dog in rushes or moorland yr basically fcked yes some saluki x I seen were more than capable the bitch you breed was a decent animal on fluff but I prefer a dog that will tackle anything that been shot .

My south west rabbits are the fastest in the world ....... they hard as feck they course the dogs and your lucky if your dog makes it back to you in because if these rabbits catch the dog there ruthless

me dogs got nose better than a spanial mate jump for fun and will fly into out
