Pellet pigs taste like crap compared to wild browns. The only good thing about them is their size. I used to do a lot of reservoir fishing and it was good crack, but prefer the river or smaller hill lakes etc now. I’ve been a few places where it’s like fishing for big rainbows in a bath tub quite good fun, but a bit soullessZ

Not kept a trout for ages allways chuck them back now had loads on bread and spinners on the chalkstreams the bigger ones mever make good eaters

Spot on there I usually bag the smaller trout off res as the bigger ones taste worst but owt tastes reyt when it’s free

I have had lots of fish from the Test, probably some of the best looking trout going,at £500 a day peak season people wouldn't settle for less totally different from stocked lakes, seen some fish coming out of stocked waters with three old flys still hooked in their Jaws and tatty tails.
