without getting in to all this competitive my dogs better than yours stuff

Very good point right there P.  Been saying the same for years.  Don't really know where all the competetive shite has come from, ie; I caught 25 last night, yeah?, I caught 30 AND a hare, yeah?, I caught 30, 2 hares AND a fox etc etc!  Who actually gives a f**k?!  As long as people get out and catch a few, with the cross/type they like, surely that's ALL THAT MATTERS?!

Old Moocher was a Beddy/Grey x Collie/Grey....?  He was a real honest dog and an amazing retriever,...he fetched everything straight back to hand, even dragged a few larger bits and pieces back..

?Yep,..the Beddy influence was extremely strong; I found it created an incredibly determined prey drive in a lurcher. Our dog Solo, was deadly on the Roe,...once he was locked on to their vapour trail

Not my intention d??
Be good to hear some honest thoughts on the cross rather than the usual stuff on here ie beddys are shit collies are shit unless we’re talking bull xs or saluki without getting in to all this competitive my dogs better than yours stuff

I run a Saluki  x now and I’ve an old beddy x bitch at 16 a little grafter an a true poachers dog can’t fault them . The brother to mine was put over a beddy / Grey so i think I’ll line breed her back to one

LamperNM sorry if I’ve come across as hijacking your post mate. Got any close ups of your dogs mate?

Just a small bitch stands just over 22” I’m happy with her put plenty rabbits away with her last season and she retrieved a few other things..  first dog with beddy in the mix and definitely gives them an extra bit of drive have ran colliexdeerhound types

That’s a cracking bitch you got there mate???they can fill a freezer. mines 23 an 3quarters this was my bitches first season she played a blinder for me I’m really happy with mine. The cross seems to have a good coat, feet,an high prey driven an want to please and run every run all guns blazing I like how the cross don’t think to much an just wants the catch an won’t think to much or of it’s own safety
